César Vallejo came back from a goal down and beat Atlético Grau 2-1 in their last game of the season, played on Saturday at the Mansiche stadium. A decisive goal from Yorleys Mena made the difference.

Mena put César Vallejo ahead in the 73rd minute, when he directed the ball into the net with a header after a corner kick. The forward shot low into the right corner after combining with Jairo Vélez.

The victory of those led by Guillermo Salas also came thanks to a goal from Vélez, while Elsar Rodas scored for the visitors.

Rodas opened the scoring for Grau nine minutes before the break. The defender shot high into the left corner after combining with attacking midfielder Neri Bandiera. The advantage, however, did not last long, since Vélez, from a free kick, equalized the contest in the 53rd minute. That spurred the hosts on and Mena’s winning goal came in the 73rd minute.

Mena wasted good chances for UCV, while Grau lamented Paulo de la Cruz’s lack of composure.
