The commander of the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police, Colonel Jorge Andrés Bernal Granadatold some details of the frustrated robbery that occurred last Thursday, which left two assailants dead and one more person dead who was hit by a stray bullet.

According to the commander, the perpetrators “ignored the police call and intimidated two women with firearms, using them as a human shield to avoid police action.”

In the crossfire, the Police managed to kill one of the assailants, known by the alias Care Loco, and wounded one more, identified as Daniel Cuello. Although the assailant was helped and taken to a healthcare center, some time after he died.

A person who had nothing to do with the events also died after receiving a stray bullet in the frustrated bank robbery.

The bank robbers had managed to steal 1,300,000 pesos and some cell phones from users, belongings that were recovered by the authorities.

The killed criminals had notes for illegal possession of a firearm, theft and extortion.
