The Secretary of Business Development leads this important milestone for Boyacá entrepreneurs who are committed to sustainability.

Tunja, May 25, 2024. (UACP). The Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Cluster is built from the National Public Policy, becoming an opportunity to unite sustainable companies, which are in charge of managing environmental issues and, therefore, from their processes they take into account the current situation of humanity around climate change and the opportunities to address it through the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the UN.

This is a proposal that becomes viable thanks to the participation of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.

“Today is a great day for Boyacá; We have just established the Circular Economy Cluster. We have 20 companies from across the department. The idea is that this cluster begins to generate projects and programs to actively work on the sustainability of the processes within their companies and on sustainability with solid waste management. I consider that this is one of the different areas that the secretariat has been developing, just as we have been working with two more clusters: trains and dairy, this has the same importance in terms of economic reactivation,” he expressed.
Alexander Adame Erazo, Secretary of Business Development.

The formal ceremony was held at the facilities of the Tunja Chamber of Commerce as a result of months of work with the businessmen. This was explained by Laura Sanabria, president of the cluster.

“This is a space that Boyacá was needing and waiting for, which integrates the businessman, the institution, the academy and the Government. We are working hand in hand to carry out a single project, which is Boyacá, to make our territory a sustainable place, a Boyacá Grande, a Boyacá that is reflected in the transformation processes of clean energy and waste. Now the invitation is for large companies to join this commitment,” said Sanabria.

He also thanked the Chamber of Commerce of Tunja, as well as the two regional autonomous corporations that supported, that is, Corpoboyacá and Corpochivor, as well as many entities that were linked such as, for example, Camacol, the University of Boyacá , the Juan de Castellanos University Foundation, UNAD, Comfaboy and other institutions that were behind this great success, which according to her, is an early victory, because in just four months this great cluster will be established for the benefit of the boyacenses.

“It is undoubtedly great news for the department. We are committed to the sustainability of our companies,” concluded the sector leader, Alexander Adame.
