The National Naval Prefect, Prefect General Guillermo Giménez Pérez, accompanied by the National Naval Subprefect, Prefect General Alejandro Anniquini, presided over the central event in commemoration of the 214th anniversary of the May Revolution, which took place on the mast of the Coast Guard Building, headquarters of the Argentine Naval Prefecture.

The significant patriotic act began with the raising of the Official Flag of the Nation and the insignia of the Force, while the musicians of the Band of the Force performed “Aurora.”

After singing the stanzas of the National Anthem and cheering for the Homeland, the main prefect Gustavo Albornoz, in charge of the allusive words, reviewed the history of our country, and, in conclusion, expressed:

“Let us always remember that we have sworn to our country to constantly follow its flag and defend it until we lose our lives. “That is the commitment and promise that we daily make manifest to the men and women of Mayo, who dreamed of a free and sovereign soil for our nation.”

In addition, in commemoration of May 25, events were held in all departments of the country.

Likewise, the head of the national Maritime Authority participated in the traditional Tedeum, which took place in the Metropolitan Cathedral, and was headed by the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge García Cuerva, and was attended by the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, the cabinet of ministers and national authorities.
