During the inauguration ceremony of the new special agent, held yesterday, the acceptance of the resignation of his predecessor Jorge Eduardo Suárez Gómez was notified.

Piñeros Cruz is a surgeon, with specialties in Hospital Administration and Health Services Auditing. He has work experience in the health sector, specifically in primary and complementary level hospitals in the country.

In recent years he has held management positions in the Hospitals of Paipa, Sogamoso, Aquitania, Soatá, Valle de Tenza and scientific deputy manager of the San Rafael de Tunja Hospital.

According to the Superintendency, the new controller will exercise the functions of legal representative of the ESE Hospital Local Cartagena de Indias and will continue with the actions that the institution has been carrying out for the recovery and consolidation of the entity on the way to guaranteeing primary care to the Cartagena population. .

It should be remembered that the intervention at the ESE began in 2021 and by February 2024 it has been achieved that 33 of its 47 service centers are in adequate conditions for users and the formalization of 655 workers.
