The Cultural Institute announced that registration is now open to participate in the International Market of the Audiovisual Industry of the Province of Buenos Aires. This event will have its first edition between September 5 and 8, within the framework of the second of the International Film Festival of the Province of Buenos Aires (FICPBA) which is scheduled to occur from the 4th to the 14th of that same month, this year.

For this first edition, the Market will put special focus on facilitating meetings for the conclusion of International Co-production agreements, seeking to promote the promotion of the audiovisual industry, distribution, exchange, and cultural integration, whether within the same province as outward, generating a space for national, regional and international cooperation.

Participation is free and registration is open to various professions in the national and international audiovisual industry: producers, distributors, sales agents, programmers, exhibitors, among others. For four days, professionals from various countries will be able to hold self-managed meetings and meetings and participate in round tables and conferences designed to answer questions and manage problems in the audiovisual sector, in community and in conversation.

A new festival

With wide expectations, the Cultural Institute will carry out the Second Edition of the International Film Festival of the Province of Buenos Aires (FICPBA) under the motto “Diversity unites us.” Last year, the event had a large turnout, filling rooms in various spaces in the province.

In this framework, the organization led by Florencia Saintout announced that film registration has been open since April 30 and will extend until June 30.

This film registration in all categories is free and is intended for national and international feature and short film productions of all genres. From the organization they indicated that “they must be films that focus on the concepts of Identity and Diversity.” The titles may be noted by the producers, or by those who own the rights to the work.

Like the first edition, FICPBA will be directed by Paula de Luque. In 2023, the Festival had more than 200 screenings that attracted 25 thousand people from 26 countries. It spread throughout 40 municipalities, including the first provincial meeting of film students with exhibitions, talks and concerts that enriched the Buenos Aires identity throughout 10 days of cinematographic celebration.

The process began this Monday, May 27 and will last until Sunday, July 28. It can be done online through the registration form.
