An investment of more than $8,000 million will be used to improve educational infrastructure in the south of Huila. This initiative, led by the Secretary of Education of Huila, Orlando Parga Rivas, includes the construction of school restaurants, sports facilities and a new school in the municipalities of Acevedo, Pitalito and Saladoblanco.

In Pitalito, the first phase of the construction of the Winnipeg Educational Institution began, with a total investment of more than $9.5 billion. This work, which covers an area of 4,202 square meters, will benefit secondary and middle school students, with 12 classrooms designed to accommodate up to 40 students each.

In addition, the construction of a school restaurant in the Marticas de Acevedo neighborhood was announced, with an investment of $735 million, to serve approximately 341 students in the rural area. Similar projects are underway in other locations, such as Saladoblanco, where the construction of a new Educational Institution is planned, with the aim of improving educational quality and benefiting the entire rural community.
