The Laureano Brizuela Fine Arts Museum invites the artistic community and the general public to participate in the Second Temple Workshop “Discovering the Portrait”, which will take place next Saturday, June 8 at 09:30.
This workshop, directed by artist Juan Spolidor, will offer an opportunity to learn and perfect the traditional technique of egg tempera.
The activity is intended for teenagers and adults and does not require prior knowledge, since, in this intensive workshop, participants will explore the ancient technique of egg tempera. Additionally, through this practice, they will learn to create portraits with realistic volume, using methods that have endured over the centuries. The training will not only provide technical knowledge, but will also inspire attendees to delve deeper into the art of portraiture.
Each participant must bring tempera paints, two eggs, brushes, two glasses, an ice bucket or painter’s palette with cavities, and graphite pencils. Space is limited and those interested are recommended to register in person at the Laureano Brizuela Museum, located at San Martín 316.
This workshop will close the exhibition “Fenecer”, composed of oil paintings, temples, sculptures and installations, divided into two series: “Asilo” and “Monumental, metaphysical, ritual”. n
