According to the analysis, which included the review of data that considered 182 thousand ship calls and 238.2 million movements, equivalent to 381 million TEUs, this Bio Bio port complex was ranked number 97 out of a total of 405 .
The general ranking, it is worth mentioning, is led by the Chinese port of Yangshan and closed in last place by Cape Town, in South Africa.
The next Chilean port to appear on the list is San Antonio, which occupied box 110 in the measurement, while Valparaíso appeared in 151.
Meanwhile, Puerto Lirquén appeared in box 160 and, in turn, San Vicente was positioned in position 313, Mejillones (Puerto Angamos) was placed in place 333, Arica in 316 and Iquique in 352.
“Neighborhood”
In the port neighborhood of the Americas, the Puerto Cartagena Group terminals were the ones that gave Colombia the best position with a third place. For its part, Callao was the second best placed in space number 26.
The third best-positioned American was Posorja; Ecuador, which remained in 37th place, followed by Rio de Janeiro in 42nd and Buenaventura in 44th.
According to the measurement, the most efficient North American port was Lázaro Cárdenas, from Mexico, which was located at step number 50, followed by Charleston; of the United States, in 53.
The last American on the list was the Port of Tacoma; of the United States, in position 401.
