The community of the municipality of Ocaña is shocked by the crime of a man in the hands of two men, who hours later were captured by the authorities.
This is the religious Ramón Antonio Montejo Peinado, in events that occurred in the Jesús Cautivo neighborhood.
According to information provided by the authorities, men who intended to steal his vehicle inflicted two stab wounds on his back.
“Apparently, when the priest opposed the robbery, they ran him over, fleeing in the truck he owned,” said the secretary of the Ocaña government, Freddy Arengas.
Security camera videos show the moment in which a man violently tries to open a black gate while the truck is leaving the parking lot.

The president of Ocaña, Emiro Cañizares, repudiated the crime.
“Total rejection of the murder of the priest who, in the name of the church, helped in building peace. Together with the Ombudsman’s Office, he carried out important work supporting the families of kidnapped people,” he said.
