La Rioja Street changes the direction of circulation to be a single East-West lane

The residents of the Roulet neighborhood of Eldorado are extremely concerned about the situation of insecurity that exists in the community and for this reason they are once again insisting on the implementation of the police detachment that they have in the neighborhood of km 6.

This Thursday morning, Canal 9 Norte Misionero spoke with Héctor Rolón about this problem that they are going through in the neighborhood, so the neighborhood leader commented that “after the theft of Walter’s motorcycle, we began to communicate in the group of Whatsapp which has more than 200 neighbors, several comments arose from other people who went through similar situations, where unknown people wanted to enter their homes.”

Next, he added that “several people who are not from the neighborhood were also seen walking around the place and for us that is worrying, because we have no way to defend ourselves, the only thing we have left is to make common cause among ourselves and act by our means.”

After explaining the reasons, Héctor Rolón remarked: “We urgently need the authorization of our detachment to work against insecurity, in the event of any incident we have to call the First Police Station and it is far from our community.” Then he announced that “at the meeting of the neighborhood’s Water Commission, we already asked for authorization, we are going to gather signatures to raise a new note, it must be the tenth now, to enable this detachment which we have already reconditioned with the neighborhood commission to leave it in conditions”.

The reality indicates that today the detachment is practically in a state of abandonment and destroyed, but the neighborhood leader assured that it is not an impediment to having the presence of the police, “between all the neighbors we can recondition it.”

Returning to the issue of the problems they go through in the Roulet neighborhood, resident Rolón expressed that “the consumption of prohibited substances is a problem that has increased by 200%, we also have a big problem with lighting and we present countless amounts of notes and spoken with CEEL leaders to improve this situation. The acts of vandalism are not only against neighbors, the school, the church, the multipurpose room and business owners adjacent to the neighborhood are victims of insecurity, this is unsustainable,” he assured.
