Gerardo Romano continues with “An Ordinary Jew,” a controversial work by Charles Lewinsky that poses a central question: What does it mean to be a Jew in today’s world? The plot centers on a German Jew living in Germany who, after receiving an invitation from a history teacher, must decide whether he agrees to speak to high school students about his identity and the history of the Holocaust. The protagonist reviews his arguments and reflects on the contemporary problems of Jews outside Israel, addressing topics such as life in a country marked by the Nazi past.

Peabiru: The Musical Paths of Latin America

Place: El Puente Cultural Association

Peabiru offers a magical and ancestral tour through the jungles and mountains of Latin America. Brenda Böck, Matías Armando and Rica Rosa, along with guest artists, will present a handful of songs that celebrate coastal culture. The event will take place at 9:00 p.m. and advance tickets cost 6,000 pesos for two tickets, or 3,500 pesos at the door.

Premiere: The Casting of Sebastián Roulet

“Casting or the penultimate opportunity” is an adaptation of the story “Sense Specters” by Sebastián Roulet. The work marks the return to acting of the author, who directed “La Invocation”, winner of the 2022 Provincial Theater Festival. This new production explores the story of characters looking for their last opportunity in the world of entertainment.

“Manzi. La vida en Orsai” brings to the stage the life of poet Homero Manzi, known for writing lyrics to iconic tangos like “Sur” and “Malena.” The work focuses on Manzi’s personal and professional life, from his friendship with Aníbal Troilo to his relationship with the singer Nelly Omar. With an outstanding cast and an evocative staging, the play will be presented every Friday in June at 9:00 p.m.

Strange Faces will be presented at Tribus Club

Roberto Pettinato, former member of the legendary Argentine band Sumo, leads this project that seeks to revive the intensity and spirit of the band.
