A strong terrorist escalation was recorded on the afternoon of this Friday, June 7, in the southwest of the country where criminal organizations activated a bomb car on the corner of the main park of the township of Robles, rural area of ​​Jamundí, and with drones they launched explosives in the Popayán Police Station, Cauca.

Given this, the Minister of the Interior Luis Fernando Velasco spoke confirming both terrorist attacks and announced greater actions against illegal armed groups.

“I was informed at 5:30 in the afternoon of the two acts of terrorism because they cannot be called anything else, obviously we have to confirm the authorship but one might think where these types of attacks come from,” said the official. .

He added that actions will be taken: “We are going to have to take much more forceful actions in military and police matters. When war is declared against a State and society, one has the right and the duty to face that war. The generals know how to do the actions that are being taken, what we ask for is more results and forcefulness.”

According to preliminary information, in Jamundí a car with explosives was activated around 4:30 in the afternoon, which was located on the road towards Timba, Cauca, one block from the Police substation. At the moment no injuries have been reported.

While in the case of the station Popayán Police, The attack occurred around 5:10 pm when criminals attacked with explosives, apparently using drones.

Likewise, they would have used a handmade ramp that fires bomb cylinders (tatucos) and that, apparently, was placed in a part of the Guillermo León Valencia airport, which is very close to the Police station.
