Santa Clara, June 7 (RHC) Regarding the parliamentary visit to Villa Clara, prior to the process of rendering accounts of the provincial Government to the National Assembly, next July, the Permanent Commission of Education, Culture, Science, Technology and the Environment Environment, chaired by Doctor of Science Martha del Carmen Mesa Valenciano, toured institutions in the municipality of Santa Clara this Friday.

Accompanied by Sergio Díaz Rodríguez, official of the Provincial Government and Yamilé Herrera Alfonso, general director of Education in the Villa Clara territory, Mesa Valenciano began the work program in the “Motica decotto” Children’s House belonging to the Desembarco del Granma Textile Company.

This early childhood institution has 45 capacities, of which it only has 11 covered. There, he emphasized that it is necessary to extend the benefits of this center to the community and at the same time, he insisted on the importance of creating alliances with different organizations.

The journey continued at the Victoria de Girón Rural School where he spoke with the fourth grade pioneers about the anniversaries of the month of June and the name of the institution.

He was also interested in the schedule of the final tests.

Likewise, he urged Osiris Domínguez, director of the center, to improve the ventilation and lighting conditions of the classrooms.

Later, he visited the “Ernesto Che Guevara” Vocational Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE) in Villa Clara where 417 young people study, a large part of them participate in different scientific societies.

He discussed with these students the digitalization process of Cuban society, the advantages of Artificial Intelligence in the scientific field and was concerned about their continuity of studies.

Leandro Moya Camacho, director of the Villa Clara IPVCE, highlighted the results of the Provincial Training Center for students with high academic performance, which has won first place in national knowledge contests for four consecutive years.

Later he arrived at the annex of the Máximo Gómez Báez Primary School, which is located in an old Agricultural center and which will later become a semi-boarding school that will benefit the community.

Igor Sholojov Ramírez, delegate of constituency 78 of the El Gigante community of the Popular Council, raised with the president of this Permanent Commission the difficult situation that this district is experiencing with the water supply.

The parliamentary visit also included the “Marta Abreu” Central University of Las Villas where 9,453 young people from different provinces of the central region and other parts of the country study.

At the emblematic institution he exchanged with the Board of Directors of the house of higher studies and then toured the U 3 building, a student residence that is in the process of reconstruction.

He then moved to the university dining room and arrived at the boiler area, which ensures the cooking of food.

Finally, he arrived at the “Los Criollitos” Children’s House that benefits 23 of the working mothers of the most multidisciplinary university in the country.

In the afternoon, Martha Mesa visited CITMA institutions such as the Center for Environmental Studies and Services (CESAM). There she was concerned about how the implementation of the Life task, the doctoral training is going, and emphasized the need for all factors to work together to face the environmental problems of the municipality.

Added to the tour was the tour of the House of Culture, the provincial station CMHW and the Telecubanacán television channel.
