Governor Figueroa explained that these types of actions are part of the work that has been carried out to achieve “social sustainability”, which is necessary in this industry and the development of education, training and infrastructure.
“This is how we started working with the company Vista, which provided the initiative to create a route, on which the first 6 kilometers will be paved. Then we shared this initiative and now a new company has joined and once again, PAE is going to accompany us by providing 10 more kilometers of that route,” said the Neuquén governor.
The president extended the invitation to other companies, “we want to achieve this route that is 63 kilometers paved so that the oil industry can divert traffic to that route, facilitate circulation to Añelo and continue to Cutral Co.”

Vaca Muerta Development
“We took note from the beginning with the call made by the governor in everything that has to do with social sustainability and the development of Vaca Muerta; specifically We experience the traffic and transit that the industry has every day and we are proposing a private initiative”said Vista Operations Manager, Matías Weissel, after the announcement.
He explained that the road alternative has “the advantage of passing the main developments and deposits of Vaca Muerta and with several operators on that route, in addition to being an access route to Añelo and that will be used 100% by the industry.”
The manager highlighted the possibility of carrying out this type of project based on the very specific provincial legal framework, which seeks to make it an efficient and sustainable initiative for the development of Vaca Muerta in the future.
The director of Institutional Relations of PAE, Nicolás Fernández Arroyo expressed: “We have a great social commitment to Neuquén and a great presence in all the places where we operate and in this case, we accompany the provincial government in the scholarship program, in the training of trades from the Ministry of Labor and this seemed to us to be a great initiative to support and join with another 10 kilometers of road infrastructure.”
