Near the Quebrada del Sol village in Magdalena and during an operation by the National Army, two soldiers were intercepted by the criminal group ‘Los Pachencas’, who shot at the uniformed men.
The first corporal, Luis Felipe Ramírez Perdomo, died in the Quebrada del Sol village, while the professional soldier Jorge Luis Acevedo Montes was transferred to a medical center where he is recovering.

The fact was rejected by the Colombian Military Forces, who in their X account wrote: “We reject the murder of our first corporal Luis Felipe Ramírez Perdomo, of the Colombian Army, while protecting the inhabitants of the department of Magdalena. “Members of the illegal group ‘Los Pachenca’ are responsible for this criminal action.”
In addition to this, they sent condolences to the military’s relatives: “Our solidarity with his family, friends and colleagues in this difficult time. Military operations continue to affect the criminal structures of this group,” they concluded.
