Floods cause damage in Sitionuevo, Magdalena

The floods generated by the tropical storm have caused material damage to more than 10 homes, leaving several families affected.

The municipality of Sitionuevo, Magdalena, has been severely affected by the intense rainfall associated with the winter wave that hits the department.

The Sitionuevo Volunteer Fire Department has been at the forefront of the situation, providing immediate assistance to affected families and carrying out assessments of the damage caused. It should be noted that the Colombian Civil Defense had previously warned about the high risks of flooding in Sitionuevo, Salamina and Remolino, due to their proximity to the Magdalena River.
