According to the authorities, the victims were waiting for transportation, when they were suddenly approached by the two subjects who, from a motorcycle, threatened them with a weapon to strip them of their belongings.
The criminals fled, but the quick notification to the Police made it possible to activate a ‘Padlock Plan’, which led to the capture of the criminals and the recovery of their belongings, including two high-end cell phones and $700,000. cash.
It is important to mention that those captured were left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office.
For his part, the operational commander of Citizen Security of the Police in Santa Marta, Lieutenant Colonel David Vargas, highlighted the importance of reporting in time: “The operations to control crimes and behaviors contrary to coexistence are constant, also “Thanks to timely complaints, important arrests are being made that reduce the commission of crimes.”
