In a statement released this Friday, the College of Biochemists of Neuquén announced that will charge 100% of 19 specialty practices to ISSN affiliatesas a consequence of the lack of updating in the payments made by the state social work of the province.
When arguing the measure, the organization indicated that “comes expressing» to the ISSN authorities that the situation of the laboratories and biochemical professionals of Neuquén It’s “criticism”.
«The increase in supplies, reagents, maintenance of equipment and services is causing the members of the College to not be able to cover the costs of the practices. Therefore, we request annexes to update the value of the internships paid by social work.«, it was described in the text.
The biochemists also denounced that the promises they received to recompose payments to values updated for inflation “were never fulfilled«, which forced them to stop billing almost twenty practices to members of the provincial social work.
The cessation of coverage, if implemented, would come into effect on June 18, it was officially specified. “We regret this decision, but it is the College’s task to protect biochemical activity; laboratories cannot continue subsidizing practices,” they noted.
Given the public dissemination of the measure, the representatives of the Neuquén laboratories were summoned by the Institute for this Thursday in the morning, in an attempt to resolve the conflict before the 100% charge takes effect.
«The measure still stands and would be applied next Tuesday, but we will have to wait for the result of that meeting«, they told Diario RÍO NEGRO from the College of Biochemists this Tuesday night.
