He reproached the decision to open the investigation into these issues and recalled that in previous periods there were lobbyists who attacked other colleagues in the corporation.

The councilor of the Radical Change Party, César Franco, referred to the recent controversy that arose in a session of the Council and for which, the Attorney General’s Office announced that it is investigating the president of the Council Arturo Castillo, one for an extraordinary session, which would have taken 24 minutes and another for, an obscene sign that he would have made.

Franco stated that the session had already concluded and that the comments made between the councilors were in an atmosphere of camaraderie, not offense or abuse. He highlighted that the comments arose during an informal discussion about the schedule of the sessions, in which some councilors preferred to start at 8:00 in the morning instead of 7:00, as proposed by the Council president.

“The session had ended and everything, and that was presented in the middle of the pickup, and it was left in the middle of the videos, but the session had already ended, it was no longer even part of that day’s session, it is no offense. “There is no abuse, on the contrary, we have an excellent relationship, and I feel that suddenly they misappropriate things, with the intention of making things look the opposite way,” Franco said regarding the possible obscene signal.

Franco stressed that there were no bad words or lack of respect, and that the relationship between the councilors is excellent. He criticized the intention of some to distort the facts to present them in a negative light.

In response to statements from the Attorney General’s Office regarding the duration of the sessions, Franco explained that the internal regulations of the Council establish a waiting time of half an hour for the start of the sessions, and that these can end quickly if the agenda is exhausted. .

“The session had already ended, it was more of the confusion that was in the atmosphere, because he is a man who says, we are all going to be at the session at 7:00 in the morning, and we were bothering him and I told him “It’s better for us to start at 8:00 in the morning,” Franco said.

He emphasized, regarding the investigation that, “last period where we saw how councilors attacked each other, where there was a councilor who mistreated us all, she treated us like clowns in a vulgar way, where yes, there really was mistreatment, where other councilors asked me why there was nothing there, and there was abuse there because people were offended. Now that there is nothing to make the decision, well, we do not respect that, the Attorney General’s Office is an entity that makes the decision and no.”

The councilor emphasized respect for the Attorney General’s Office and its role as a control entity, but defended that, on this occasion, there was no infraction or lack of respect towards the corporation.
