Pedestrian bridge in poor condition puts residents of Alfonso López at risk

Santiago de Cali, June 14, 2024.- The deterioration of the pedestrian bridge located in the sector that connects the Alfonso López market square, with the Puerto Mallarino health post and passed to the Juanchito sector, Municipality of Candelaria, puts at risk to those who use that step, maintains Councilor Édison Lucumí Lucumí, who calls on the Administration of Mayor Alejandro Éder to proceed with his prompt recovery.

In a video presented by the Councilor, it is noted that the structure threatens ruin, putting the risk to those who come from Juanchito to the Alfonso López gallery or who use it for health services.

Edison Lucumí Lucumí expressed that it is necessary to give priority to its repair, because apart from being obsolete, it has burns in its structure and is uneven, becoming an imminent danger for users.

“With the purpose of preventing pedestrians from putting their lives at risk, making use of that dilapidated structure, the corps of traffic agents is present in the sector so that people can cross the eighth avenue towards neighborhoods such as Alfonso López, Siete de Agosto and Puerto Mallarino, but when those officials are not there, the vehicles become a threat to passers-by,” Lucumí concluded.
