In the municipality of Silos, the Police recovered a motorcycle that appeared stolen in the Sijin records. Apparently, it was stolen when it was abandoned on a public road.

According to the latest reports from the Police, motorcycles stolen in the metropolitan area of ​​Bucaramanga are being sold in regions such as the south of Bolívar and a recent case also showed that in Norte de Santander.

In the municipality of Silos, about 100 kilometers from Bucaramanga, the Norte de Santander Police recovered a motorcycle that had been stolen in the town of Piedecuesta, apparently after its owner left it abandoned on a public road.

The procedure was carried out in the main park of Silos in the middle of a search and control of automobiles.

In these actions they required a citizen who was driving a Yamaha FZ-150 motorcycle. After beginning the investigations, it was found that it was registered as stolen.

Once the verifications were carried out, it was established that this motorcycle was wanted by a prosecutor’s office in Piedecuesta for the crime of theft, which is why the driver was immediately captured in flagrante delicto for the crime of receiving“said the Police.

The authorities insist that citizens when purchasing used vehicles go to the Sijin headquarters in Colombia and request a certificate to know if the motorcycle or car they wish to buy presents a judicial request.

Likewise, motorcycle owners should not leave them abandoned on public roads, but rather in trusted parking lots, installing security systems such as locks or GPS satellite tracking.

The Norte de Santander Police left the motorcycle at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office, which will be responsible for returning it to its legitimate owner in the municipality of Piedecuesta.
