CARACAS – Fundaredes denounced the violation of human rights and child exploitation of minors who are forced to work in mines in the Orinoco Mining Arc in inhumane conditions.

The alert is made within the framework of the World Day against Child Labor, through a report in which it ensures that the most cruel treatment of children and adolescents occurs in the states of Amazonas, Bolívar and Delta Amacuro, perpetuated by irregular armed groups. who carry out illegal mining.

These groups violate the human rights of minors, mostly from indigenous communities, without the government authorities doing anything.

The complaint is made within the framework of the World Day against Child Labor, which is celebrated every June 12 to raise awareness and commit States to fight against this scourge.

Likewise, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Convention through which States undertake to eradicate practices that involve slavery, kidnapping, forced labor, servitude, prostitution and other illicit activities.
