Cesar Transit Takes Your Municipality: A comprehensive strategy for road safety

This strategy, promoted by the departmental government, seeks to decentralize and bring transit services closer to citizens, taking the necessary procedures directly to their municipalities.

With a focus on improving road safety and facilitating access to transit services, the strategy has been received with enthusiasm by the mayors of the municipalities involved. Through the identification of critical points and the implementation of road safety education projects, a significant change is being achieved in the mobility culture.

The first visit was to the municipality of Pueblo Bello, it was accompanied by the ‘Motodestrezas’ program of the National Road Safety Agency and the first session of the Local Road Safety Committee was also held.

The director of the Cesar Departmental Transit Institute, Diana Margarita Daza González, together with her team, will visit the municipalities of González, La Gloria, Pelaya, Chiriguaná, among others, in the coming weeks, to work hand in hand with local governments in the reduction of problems such as the lack of driving licenses and informality in transportation.

This strategy not only focuses on accident prevention, but also includes educational programs in the department’s institutions and awareness campaigns about traffic rules and signs.

“Tránsito Cesar se Tomá tu Municipio” is a clear example of how collaboration between the departmental government and municipalities can lead to the creation of safer and more efficient environments for all citizens. With this strategy, Cesar is moving towards a future where road safety is a priority and access to transit services is a reality for everyone.
