(ADN).- With the backdrop of the Bases Law and the uncertainty of the return of the Income Tax, the Union of Private Oil Tankers of Río Negro, Neuquén and La Pampa, ratified a 48-hour strike that will affect production in the Neuquén basin.

The measure will begin tomorrow – Tuesday the 18th – after the failure of the dialogue sessions with the business chambers, “in which they sought to determine an initial salary for oil workers who are below the poverty line, such as those in refineries », they indicated from the union.

Its owner, Marcelo Rucci, announced that “the measure will be carried out and the freedom of action will be used to not comply with a call for mandatory conciliation.”

“A countless number of private meetings were held and even issues were discussed at the headquarters of that Ministry of Labor,” he explained. However, as there was no concrete progress, last Friday the Ministry of Labor was informed of the forceful measure. The last meeting with the chambers of operators and special services was last Wednesday at the union headquarters.

“We try to sit down, to understand, to talk, to agree, and they bring us the same proposals as a year and a half ago, the same thing we talked about four months ago, the same thing we talked about two months ago, and the same thing we talked about last week when we went to joint meetings. So, they are going to cut the rope, because we have the predisposition to dialogue and discuss. Now, what we don’t have is time for them to disrespect us,” Rucci warned.
