Highway Police announces the total closure of the Mocoa – Pasto road due to the loss of the bank in the Negro River – Santiago sector


TOTAL CLOSURE OF THE PASTO – MOCOA ROAD DUE TO LOSS OF BANKS IN THE RIO NEGRO SECTOR

The Traffic and Transportation Section of the Putumayo Police Department informs all road actors and the community in general about the total closure of the Pasto-Mocoa highway. This closure is due to the loss of the bench at kilometer 49, in the sector known as Río Negro, in the municipality of Santiago, Putumayo. The situation has been caused by the intense winter season that affects the region.

All drivers and pedestrians are asked to be patient and exercise extreme caution while managing this contingency. INVIAS personnel are waiting for the rains to stop so they can intervene and repair the affected section. The safety of all road users is the priority, and the necessary measures are being taken to ensure safe and effective intervention.
