Cielo González was found guilty of undue interest in the execution of contracts, falsification of documents and embezzlement by appropriation.

In the determination, the Court denied the house arrest of Cielo González Villa and asked Inpec to transfer the former official from her home – where she is under house arrest for another process – to a prison center.

The former governor was sentenced for a process related to irregularities in the concession contract for the exploitation of Doble Anís liquor, which had ended up favoring, without any legal reason, the Fábrica de Licores y Alcoholes de Antioquia.

The decision of the Supreme Court of Justice was appealed by González’s defense, so it will go to the Criminal Chamber, where it will be established whether the conviction is confirmed or denied.
