The Antioquia Housing Company – VIVA – concluded the first phase of the call for land with a record of 413 real estate license plates in 103 municipalities of the department. This is the first step towards the materialization of the initiative of the Government of Antioquia to build up to 50 thousand homes in the nine subregions.

VIVA carried out the assistance process for the technical and regulatory evaluation of the lots nominated by the municipalities for the real estate bank, in order to meet the goal of reducing the housing deficit in the department and improving the quality of life of Antioquia families. , with the construction of social or priority housing.

Rodrigo Hernández Álzate, manager of VIVA, expressed his satisfaction with the result of the call: “we successfully closed the evaluation of the lots nominated by 102 mayors through 413 registrations with a residential vocation, which represents 233 projects for the construction of housing social that we closed on May 24.”

Of the 413 license plates registered in the real estate bank, 233 projects arise, of which 155 are viable and remediable. Of these, 32 meet all the requirements for the construction of up to 5,175 housing solutions in an area of ​​422 thousand square meters in 23 municipalities. The remaining 122 projects will begin a process of correction and technical support to complete the requirements.

In the coming weeks, inter-administrative agreements will be signed with the municipalities to design, formulate and execute the first projects of the “VIVA mi Casa” program, where investments will be made in urban planning and 500 thousand pesos will be contributed for the voluntary savings program that families will carry out. subject to credit through the National Savings Fund, an entity that has the most competitive conditions in the market.

The municipalities will provide the properties in a trust order; IDEA will support the construction credit process and the family compensation funds and the Ministry of Housing will contribute with the allocation of subsidies.
