More than 600 Community Action Boards and around 180 non-profit entities have received technical assistance in 54 municipalities.

Tunja, June 17, 2024. (UACP). The Secretariat of Government and Communal Action of Boyacá carries out training and technical assistance sessions for directors, dignitaries and members of the Communal Action Boards and Non-Profit Entities (ESALES) in 11 provinces of the department.

The activities led by the Directorate of Participation and Communal Action of the Government of Boyacá aim to decentralize services, offer training and strengthen communal action, facilitating the members of these organizations to acquire competencies in regulations, leadership and management so that can participate in calls at the national and departmental level.

To date, more than 600 Community Action Boards and around 180 non-profit entities have received technical assistance in the provinces of Centro, Gutiérrez, La Libertad, Márquez, Neira, Norte, Oeste, Oriente, Sugamuxi, Tundama and Valderrama .

These visits, carried out by the Secretariat of Government and Communal Action, seek to bring the departmental Government closer to community leaders, through in-person training days.

“We are present in the most remote municipalities of the department in a decentralized manner. Technical assistance has impacted community members in 11 provinces, listening, accompanying and socializing their functions, powers and the procedures they must comply with to update statutes, the membership book and the formation of commissions and work committees, among other procedures,” said Giovanny Alberto Acevedo Barrera, director of Community Participation and Action.

The official highlighted the massive attendance of community leaders, representatives of the Volunteer Fire Corps, rural aqueducts, associations and sports clubs from 54 municipalities in the department.

“We tell the community members that in the Directorate of Community Participation and Action they have a team of professionals in administration, engineering, accounting and law in charge of establishing direct contact with the JAC in each province. We are working with Asojuntas and the municipal administrations, within the framework of a strategy that seeks to address the needs, PQRS and procedures in the shortest time possible,” said Acevedo.

The days of decentralization of services and training of the Secretariat of Government and Communal Action will continue on Friday, June 21, at 8:00 am, in the Municipal Auditorium of Miraflores, aimed at the JAC and ESALES of the municipalities of the province of Lengupa. These are Miraflores, Berbeo, Campohermoso, Páez, Rondón, San Eduardo and Zetaquira.

In these meetings, topics such as the formulation of projects, contracting, updating of statutes, generalities of Law 2166 of 2021, operation of coexistence and conciliation commissions, elections of dignitaries, completion and registration of books according to Law 2166, formation and operation of business commissions and formulation of action and community development plans, among other aspects necessary for the legalization and formalization of these organizations.
