The legend of Mexican boxing, Julio César Chávez, spoke about the current situation of his son, who has showed improvement in his addiction problem, but not long ago it was the biggest concern of the historic boxer.

“We thought this day would never come, the truth is I thought Julio was going to die at any moment. It was a constant worry, every day, whether it would dawn or not,” commented the great Mexican champion.

He also confessed that he personally felt very bad about what was happening with one of his children. He even felt the frustration of being able to help others, except someone so close.

“I felt guilt, what worried me the most, I said ‘My God, if I have been able to help so many people, why can’t I help my son?’” he told various media outlets.

Finally, Julio César Chávez pointed out that JR is now preparing for a fight that has him very motivated. Since soon He will face a former UFC fighter, Darren Till.

“My son Julio is very motivated with himself, because he has seen the evolution, that he is improving a lot and without any substance in the body. Apart from that, he has a fight that motivates him,” he declared. “We are very happy because the judge exonerated him of any guilt, so that was the most important thing,” he added.
