Horse riding specialists explain that the animal lost control when the girth became loose and began to slide down to the animal’s legs. “In the video you can see that when the animal falls, the girth is already loose, and the rider becomes tangled in the lasso,” they explain.
At one point, the horse slipped and stopped again, with the rider hooked and dragging him for several meters until the saddle completely came off the animal.
The rider was left lying, meters from the official balcony. “It was a lucky misfortune. That the saddle came off completely, because the lasso is attached to the saddle. If it had not been like that, the man could have been dragged much further,” they analyzed.
A few seconds later the provincial and municipal authorities approached the gaucho who stood up, without apparent damage, and thanked Governor Sáenz and the mayor, Emiliano Durand, for their interest.
