Three cats and two dogs found a new home at a recent pet adoption event in Manizales

The Environment Secretariat of Manizales held its twelfth successful adoption day at the Mall Plaza Shopping Center, delivering three cats and two dogs to loving homes. With these adoptions, the number rises to 350 animals that have found a new family thanks to these days.

Angie Suárez, an official from the Ministry of the Environment, expressed her satisfaction with the success of the program: “We are here once again, giving these dogs and cats a new opportunity. With more than 450 animals at the municipal shelter waiting to be adopted, every day is a victory for us.”

The animals protected by the Animal Protection Unit (UPA) go through a recovery process before being delivered. All adopted animals are vaccinated, neutered and come with a tracking chip to ensure their continued well-being.
