He is passionate about the art of creating. As a mechanic, he has always worked with an eye toward improving the equipment park, whether it be a KAMAZ, a crane or a Sinotruck.

The Truck Freight Company of the Sancti Spíritus province in central Cuba has allowed Yuniel Rodíguez Chinea to realize himself as a professional and human being for around eight years.

He is grateful to the military service for having learned the art of mechanics because it changed his life for the better and above all he understood that teamwork is essential.

“We do inventive work as a team, we depend on the welder, the turner and thus we recover pieces that are difficult for the technique to continue producing.”

Dissimilar recovery tasks distinguish it with the sole purpose of starting the trucks of the Sancti Spíritus Truck Freight Company, EMCARGA.

“We have innovated in the truck transmissions, in the ball boxes and the chocks, we have done work with pieces of tube, to ensure that the ball boxes attach to the chocks. We have replaced hoses with pipes, among other inventions.

EMCARGA’s equipment park is deteriorated, it is affected by a shortage of tires and batteries and those that are active are thanks to innovation work such as adaptations.”

As economic limitations intensify, Yuniel will continue to innovate at the Sancti Spíritus Truck Freight Company. There in his big house, as he describes it, every day he starts new dreams that come true for the good of the country’s economy.
