In his report of Monitoring Index Economythe National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) stated that the economic activity from Colombia During the fourth month of the year it achieved a 5.5% growth compared to the same month in 2023.

DANE revealed that, in April, in its series adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, the growth stood at 123.10 pointswhich represented 1.98% when compared to the immediately previous month, which was March 2024.

As for what corresponds to the current year, the ISE registeredin its original series, a growth of 1.87% compared to the same period of the previous year. By 2023, from January to April, it had registered a growth of 1.49%.

For some experts consulted by W Radio, the numbers provided by DANE were taken with some surprise. However, they admitted that they are positive, although they reiterated that, apart from the measurement that corresponded to the 30 days of April with a growth of 5.5%, there is still no such broad growth.

The report highlighted that this result was punctuated by primary activitiesmainly agriculture, livestock, hunting, forestry and fishing, along with mining and quarrying.
