A woman died from poisoning after consuming ecstasy at an electronic party in Córdoba last weekend after being hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Emergency Hospital.

Mara Pereyra, originally from Misiones, was 37 years old and was accompanied by her partner at the time of the incident. The two had traveled to Córdoba to attend the DJ’s event Hernán Cattáneo on Sunday at the Forja Complex in the Talleres neighborhood.

As it turned out, The young woman decompensated in the middle of the recital and received medical attention on the premises. Moments later, she was taken by ambulance to the Comipaz Prompt Attention Hospital, from where she was referred to the Emergency Hospital.

Pereyra entered the emergency room already unconscious, so She was intubated and was admitted to the intensive care unit.

The first medical report reported that He suffered three cardiac arrests and then experienced a “practically permanent” arrhythmia.due to the ingestion of ecstasy pills.

The police investigation showed that the young missionary he ingested the pills before entering the event where he decompensated and that she was not coerced to take them, but rather that “it would have been self-consumption,” as stated by the Anti-Drug Trafficking prosecutor in charge of the case, Carlos Cornejo.

The drug was acquired by Mara and her boyfriend in Posadas “with the idea of consuming it within the framework of this event,” Cornejo added.

Likewise, during the event that took place Saturday and Sunday, Some 29 adults received medical assistance. Two women were transferred to the Comipaz health center, one for uncontrollable vomiting and the other for chest pain, they said.

As a result, the Anti-Drug Police Force (FPA) carried out control operations inside the establishment and managed to seize a significant amount of drugs, among which were found ecstasy pills, various doses of cocaine, marijuana, tussi, ketamine, MDMA and popper.

Prosecutor Cornejo’s investigation indicates that the elements of evidence related to the planning and security measures that were adopted and that they are different standardized protocols for this type of shows “would have been completed”, so the organizers of the event, that is, the production company Buenas Noches Producciones (BNP), “would have no interference” in the events that occurred.
