Outrage in Cúcuta for the cremation of a dog, the pet of a homeless resident on the banks of the Pamplonita. The incident occurred minutes after the man left his cabin.

“I received several messages from people, who told us through a video what happened: a little dog that was cremated in a hut, an improvised house by a street dweller on the banks of the Pamplonita River, very close to what is the San Rafael bridge” he said Víctor Caicedo, councilor of Cúcuta.

He highlighted that “in the video you can see the pain of this street dweller for his pet. We have called the attention of the competent authorities to review who was in this place minutes and hours before, in order to identify who committed this terrible act.”.

He went further and emphasized that “In the city of Cúcuta, the incineration of living beings has been taking place. Days ago we saw a man was found on the banks of the Pamplonita River, now he is a dog, a sentient being. What is happening in Cúcuta?” asked the lobbyist.

More information

“We can notice in the video that the homeless person blames the authorities” Caicedo said. “He left his little dog tied up in that place, while he went out, I don’t know, maybe to look for his daily consumption and these people (who committed the act) took advantage of the moment to set the place on fire. When the street dweller arrived, he found his little animal completely lifeless.”.

He was emphatic in saying that This case is already known to the authorities and that he hopes that positive results will soon be known against those who committed this macabre practice.
