The tense public order situation that exists in the national territory has caused citizens to live in fear, even when they pass through crowded places in the main cities of the country.

Proof of this was what happened in the center of Bucaramanga on the afternoon of this Friday, June 21, due to an abandoned bag.

It all started when citizens who were chatting in Santander Park, located on Carrera 19 and Calle 36, observed a bag that was on a motorcycle tire. After asking those present, no one claimed to be the owner of the aforementioned item.

This worried the people who decided to notify the CAI uniformed officers in the same park.

Given the alarm, as a precaution, the police asked the community not to approach the suitcase while the Anti-Explosive Group arrived..

After a few minutes, the experts in the field were present with a canine guide. The dog, a German shepherd breed, carried out the inspection without giving any alert for explosives.

Upon opening the bag and searching, it was found that inside there were only clothes, shoes, among other personal items of the owner that did not represent any type of risk.

With any emergency ruled out, calm returned to the busy park that is located a few steps from the headquarters of the Bank of the Republic and the Cathedral of the Sagrada Familia.
