One of the most celebrated developments in the tourism industry in Colombia, especially in the airline sector, is the arrival of the luxury airline Emirates, which already operates international flights from Bogotá with a stopover in Miami, United States.

For this reason, the job opportunities offered for the country are already beginning to be seen, as the Emirati airline seeks to hire personnel in various areas such as sales, marketing and communication to ensure the good performance of its operations in Colombian territory.
One of the most recent offers is aimed at Colombians who want to work as cabin crew who are willing to reside in Dubai. According to the Emirates Group website, in its careers (professional careers), published a series of recruitment dates for these future collaborators and in Bogotá it will take place on June 26.
“We travel around the world to find the best candidates for our cabin crew team,” highlights the airline.
The only date that will be held in Bogotá will be a full day in which the Emirati company, in cooperation with the Fly Right agency, will receive the candidates. The protocol and agenda are already established and will consist of an introduction, in which the “recruitment team will provide an overview of the role, helping you understand what to expect while working as a cabin crew with Emirates and life in “Dubai.”
They will carry out an evaluation with group activities and an online test, in the workplace. They will then proceed to conduct a final interview, which is an “opportunity to find out more about you and your motivation for working at Emirates as a cabin crew”.
”If you are successful, you will be asked to provide the following documents to expedite your application process. It is recommended that you have digital copies of the following documents on your phone to share with the hiring team that day: Curriculum vitae (updated digital CV) in English, copy of valid ID or passport, copy of educational certificate,” the airline specified.
The call includes instructions on how to be presented on the date. For men and women, a careful, “neat” haircut is required, as stipulated in the offer. In the case of women, they request a corporate attire, properly made-up face, hair tied back, and heels. Men should be shaved, with smart corporate attire and formal shoes. Some of the additional requirements to be considered as cabin crew are, according to Emirates:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (other languages will be valued).
- A natural team player with a personality that shines.
- At least 160 cm tall and able to reach 212 cm tall.
- Able to meet UAE work visa requirements.
- Be at least 21 years old.
- At least 1 year of experience in hospitality or customer service.
- A minimum of secondary education.
- Have no visible tattoos while wearing the Emirates cabin crew uniform.
According to the information provided, Average salaries for open positions exceed 20 million pesos annually (approximately 5,200 USD). Depending on the specific position and associated responsibilities, salaries may vary.
