The terrorist attack with a car bomb that left two people dead and produced chaos and uncertainty in the town of El Remolino, in Taminango, Nariño, produced the harsh reaction of the President of the Republic Gustavo Petro.
Through social networks, the president regretted the incident, which left a police officer and a civilian dead, as well as several members of the police institutioninjured, and assured that those responsible for the crime will receive the weight of the law.
“We deeply regret the loss of patrolman Brayan Mojica Santos and the uniformed officers injured in the terrorist attacks in Taminango, Nariño and Curumaní, César. We extend our solidarity with their families. Those who chose the path of war over peace will continue to bear the full weight of the law,” said the Colombian president.
The attempt
It is worth mentioning that the criminal act occurred on the afternoon of this Friday, June 21, with the strong explosion of a car bomb near the El Remolino Police Station.
Preliminary information indicated that the explosion injured at least more than ten people, however, it was learned that a police assistant and a civilian died during their transfer to a medical center.
Videos of residents of this area in the north of Nariño were recorded on social networks, in which you can see the chaos that this situation generated and the material damage caused to the police station.
