The street sidewalk was closed to avoid possible damage to pedestrians.

During the morning of this Friday the 21st, the collapse of a hangar at the Teniente Vidal airfield was reported and a similar event occurred this afternoon with the fall of part of the roof of the First Fire Company.

The barracks, located at General Parra 365, had already suffered the destruction of its casino and now the weight of the snow on the roof caused it to give way.

The Fire Department, together with the Municipality of Coyhaique, decided to close the street sidewalk so as not to expose pedestrians to any accident.

Carabineros from the First Police Station of Coyhaique provided fences to provide security.
