Santiago de Cali, June 22, 2024

Within the framework of the ‘Let’s go back to my Cali Bella’ strategy, the Administrative Department of the Treasury successfully developed the third day of tax services of the year, in Commune 14, serving more than 50 taxpayers in that sector of the city, in the framework of a new day of ‘Let’s go back to my beautiful Cali’.

The event, held at the Los Naranjos 2 Sports Center, had a high participation of residents of the area and surrounding neighborhoods, who attended mainly to receive advice and catch up on property taxes.

During the day, the District Treasury Administrative Department, together with its team specialized in various public finance issues, offered a wide range of services with the purpose of facilitating compliance with taxpayers’ tax obligations.

Among the services provided, advice and billing for property taxes, ICA and RETEICA stood out; information on change of owner, rectification of the real estate registration number and nomenclature, review of appraisal and stratification, rectification of the owner’s ID, correction of areas and boundaries, issuance of property tax peace and settlement, and guidance on payment agreements.

Damián Quiñones, resident of the sector and Prosecutor of the Community Action Board of the Quintas del Sol neighborhood, expressed “I think it is a spectacular event because the Mayor’s Office of Cali visits our neighborhood so that we can solve our problems with the property, 3 years ago I don’t know how “I am with the tax and the Treasury people here helped me.”

In the same sense, Segundo Efrén Padilla, a resident of Quintas del Sol, indicated “I attended here because I have not known about the property receipt for a while and I needed to know how much the debt is to pay, this activity seems very good to me, I thank the mayor for coming to my neighborhood.”

Outstanding results of the Day in Commune 14.

The Administrative Department of the Treasury assisted more than 50 taxpayers, facilitating the verification of the cadastral update of properties and issuing property tax invoices. Additionally, personalized guidance on payment arrangements was provided.

This strategy, led by the District Administration, allows for a significant improvement in the relationship between citizens and tax management, reaffirming the commitment to the community to recover the city and bringing tax services closer to all corners of the city.

Yanet Molano, a resident of the Los Naranjos neighborhood, added: “I approached this point to see if I could make a payment agreement and here they gave me all the information. I am happy because I am going to start paying towards the Property debt. I think it’s excellent that they come to the neighborhoods because many times we don’t have transportation and these trips take time.”
