The Psychological Care Program of the University of Magdalena seeks to take over the educational institutions of the Santa Marta District; one of them, the María Auxiliadora Higher Normal School, where the School was held ‘Roots’ Parents, a project that seeks to raise awareness and educate the family nucleus on issues of violence and mental health.

Fathers and mothers of high school students participated in this activity to promote practical tools that benefit them in terms of building healthy coexistence in the family unit.

For Mónica Tausa, Rector of IED Escuela Normal Superior María Auxiliadorathe gesture of the University of Magdalena towards this headquarters, represents a great alliance to strengthen institutional capacities and support in these necessary and important processes.

The internship student of the Psychology Program Ahsely Laraalso recognizes this important advance in his career, due to the extensive knowledge that these events generate as they are spaces where the theory learned is applied.

For the University, it becomes a priority to provide its services to the different schools in the district to contribute to the construction of education and family well-being.
