A rural producer from the Chañar District, Feliciano department, reported having been a victim of cattle rustling in the form of slaughter last Saturday. According to him, a Hereford cattle weighing about 300kg had been stolen.
For this reason, police personnel from the Feliciano Rural Crime Prevention Brigade initiated an investigation in order to clarify the incident and find the perpetrators.
The uniformed officers intercepted a Toyota Hilux truck, in which five people were traveling and which was leaving a home in the rural area in the same district and a few kilometers from the place of the slaughter.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, it was found that in the back they carried all the meat from the slaughtered animal, in addition to two carbine-type firearms, and the uniformed officers were able to notice at a glance that everything coincided with the elements that were of interest in the case.
Due to what happened, the prosecutor on duty, headed by Dr. Virginia Reato, ordered the seizure of the items and by order issued by the Court of Guarantees and Transition headed by Dr. Gabriel Emir Artero, a search was carried out on the property. that they had used to protect the effects resulting from the act of rustling
Lastly, and in accordance with the provisions, the four citizens accused in the case of the crime of “flagrant cattle rustling” were arrested, who were housed in the Feliciano Departmental Police Headquarters, and a woman was identified and detained. to the case being investigated by the Feliciano Fiscal Unit.
