Colombia reached 78 athletes classified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. That last place was obtained by the Antioquia skater Jazmín Álvarez, the first Colombian woman to represent the country in this modality.

During the women’s street skateboarding classification, “the Colombian was awarded the place to Paris 2024 after remaining in the select group of the 22 best skaters in the world, occupying position 13,” reported the Colombian Olympic Committee.

“I’m living a dream right now, and you can’t imagine how happy I feel. ‘Trust in God’ was the only thing I thought about these last few days, and God never left my side, all this is thanks to him,” said the Paisa athlete.

The young woman has stood out in different competitions, among them, the historic 24th place in the last Street World Championship Tokyo 2023, her bronze medal in the V South American Games of Playa Santa Marta 2023 and being champion of the Grand Skate Tour Moscow (Russia) 2023.

On the other hand, Bogotá skater Jhancarlos González also got his place in men’s street skateboarding, remaining in the select group of the best 22 skaters in the world.
