Who is Sebastián Guanumen?

Graduated in Political Science from the Moscow People’s University and with specializations in public management and education, He has been in the public eye due to his participation in Gustavo Petro’s presidential campaign in 2022. During this period, he was criticized for his focus on social media strategies and his comments related to political ethics.

Guanumen is known for a controversial video that was leaked during his time as an advisor in the presidential campaign of current Colombian president Gustavo Petro. In the video, the new ambassador refers to the need to “cross ethical boundaries” in social media strategies to win the presidential elections.

In one of the recordings known as ‘Petrovideos‘, Guanumen is heard mentioning that it is necessary to start attacking Fico (Federico Gutiérrez, former presidential candidate), using comments for memes, spreading rumors and other elements that may be useful to counteract the campaign against him, similar to how they are attacking his campaign at that time.
