Emetur trains tourism agencies and workers: Mendoza Government Press

As part of the promotional actions that seek to strengthen the sector, the Mendoza Tourism Entity holds talks and training for tourism companies and personnel from various areas.

Recently, Emetur specialists provided training for the company Trayecto Uno, an international wholesale tourism agency, with 20 years in the market. With virtual modality, more than 50 tourism companies from all over the country participated.

The objective of this meeting was to talk about the offer of the province of Mendoza, its attractions related to the winter season and those that can be found throughout the year, such as wine tourism and identity gastronomy, among others.

In this regard, Cristina Mengarelli, director of Tourism Promotion and Market Intelligence at Emetur, commented that the area carries out various actions to boost the arrival of visitors to the destination and improve service to tourists. “In addition to presentations at various fairs, destination familiarization actions (fam press and fam tours), advertising and press campaigns, various trainings are provided to learn more and better about Mendoza’s offering.”

The official highlighted that all this work is part of the Annual Tourism Promotion Plan carried out by the entity.

Another of the trainings provided was thanks to the invitation of the Undersecretariat of Tourism of the Nation, which together with the Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Agents (FAEVYT), the Ski and Mountain Chamber (CAEM) and the provinces of Mendoza, Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, held virtual meetings to strengthen the marketing chain of the Ruta 40 tourism product.

On this occasion, the provincial representatives presented the snow season offer of each province, as well as the representatives of the snow and mountain centers that make up the CAEM (Las Leñas, Chapelco Ski Resort, Cerro Bayo Ski Boutique, Caviahhe Ski Resort, Catedral Alta Patagonia, Laderas Cerro Perito Moreno, La Hoya, Valdelen and Cerro Castor), where they detailed the news in each of the snow centers, the services and rates for the start of the 2024 winter season.

Soon, Emetur specialists will train police officers and preventers from across the province to update information on the tourist offering that Mendoza has and thus be able to provide more and better information to visitors.

Through this type of actions, Emetur seeks to motivate tourism agencies to offer the Mendoza destination, taking into account its wide range of proposals for enjoyment and the important connectivity that the province has.

In addition, some of these talks or training allow us to provide better service to those who come to Mendoza, to enjoy its wide offer.

On the other hand, Emetur provides free courses and workshops for personnel who work in various areas of the tourism sector. Along these lines, in coordination with the municipalities, it generates training on Oral Communication (Oratory) and voice care; Registration and contracting; Websites; Canva and Digital Marketing, among others.
