With the support of Corfo Aysén, Hotel Explora has launched the initiative “Local Agricultural Producers for Hotel Explora Parque Patagonia” within the framework of the Corporation’s Supplier Network program.
Humberto Marín Leiva, director of Corfo Aysén, highlighted that this initiative promotes sustainable development and the formal economy in the region. «By strengthening the collaboration between Hotel Explora and local producers, we boost the economy and promote sustainable and equitable practices. “The Supplier Network not only strengthens the hotel’s supply chain, but also encourages agricultural activity, promotes agroecological practices and formalizes the local economy,” he stated.
The project seeks to generate skills in producers to implement sustainable production processes, improve the quality of their products, strengthen their administrative capacities and establish commercial agreements. In addition, the aim is to increase competitiveness in the marketing of its products within the region. Macarena Morel Henríquez, project manager, highlighted the enthusiasm of the hotel team and the producers, underlining the importance of human capital for the success of the initiative.
