The Attorney General’s Office has obtained compelling evidence that has led Cristian Camilo Valenzuela Zapata, alias “Pollo,” and Samir Leonardo Ramírez Torres, alias “El Negro,” to accept responsibility for the murder of six members of the public force. in the regions of Meta and Caquetá. These crimes occurred between September 2021 and January 2022.

A specialized criminal judge in Florencia (Caquetá) has endorsed the pre-agreement reached in the judicial negotiation. Consequently, both members of the Jorge Briceño structure, belonging to the FARC dissidents, have been sentenced to 34 years and 7 months in prison.

The crimes charged include aggravated homicide, attempted homicide, manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, aggravated, and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.

The first case that led to this sentence occurred on September 16, 2021 in San Vicente del Caguán (Caquetá). During control tasks, National Police patrolmen Víctor Alfonso Rojas Vargas and Kevin Esteban Guevara Barrios were attacked with firearms.

Subsequently, on December 9, 2021, “Pollo” and “Negro” fired from a motorcycle against a group of the National Navy in the rural area of ​​Cartagena del Chairá (Caquetá). As a result, marines John Flores Jaramillo and Jheison Alberto Núñez Moreno lost their lives, while another uniformed man was seriously injured.

Finally, on January 11, 2022, those sentenced today caused the death of National Police patrolmen José Edinson Rivera Garrido and Hermes Alberto Mora Guevara in Lejanías (Meta).
