Havana, June 24 — Cuba registered one million 174 thousand 888 tourists until May, a figure that exceeded by 30 thousand 954 that of the same period of the previous year, reported yesterday Saturday the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI), according to ACN.

The data offered by the Directorate of Identification, Immigration and Immigration of Cuba, confirmed that the countries from which the largest number of arrivals come are Canada, with 541 thousand 871 visitors, the United States, with 102 thousand 767, Russia, with 70 thousand 668 , and England, with 33,351.

The Cuban community abroad also stands out, with 129,714 travelers in the first five months of the year.

Likewise, nations such as Germany (28,008), France (25,253), Italy (22,465), Spain (21,543) and Mexico (20,237) had significant figures in tourist arrivals.

The ONEI report specifies that in the month of January there were 259,898 arrivals of international visitors, in February there were 268,201, in March 281,139, in April 215,158 and in May 150,492.
