The Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS), an organization of a social nature and with national reach, celebrates this June 25 33 years of fruitful existence of creative work at the service of the Revolution.

It is made up of professionals in propaganda, advertising, public relations, institutional communication, sales promotion, marketing and communication research in agencies, institutions, entities, organizations and educational centers linked to the ACCS profiles, and has its headquarters national in Havana.

In addition, it is excluded from compliance with the legislation on associations, as it is considered a social organization under Article 7. of the Constitution of the Republic.

Founded on June 25, 1991, with the name of the Cuban Association of Advertising and Propagandists, it is established for an unlimited term, with its own legal personality and assets and voluntarily groups those who, upon requesting membership, meet the technical-professional requirements. established in the Statutes, maintain an ethical attitude and conduct towards work and life and political and professional commitment in accordance with the principles and ideals of our Revolution.

The Statutes of the ACCS, the Code of Ethics and its Regulations, were approved in the inaugural session of the IV Congress of the organization, which met at the Convention Center on June 23 and 24, 2007. They reflect the analyzes – during the organic process prior to the Congress – of all members, and which included the Provincial Associations, the special municipality Isla de la Juventud, territorial and grassroots Associations.

The National Presidency of the ACCS is the highest management body of the Inter-Congressional Association, and is made up of members proposed from the base and elected by affiliates throughout the country. It is made up of 21 members and meets bimonthly.

Its president is Rosa María Pérez Gutiérrez, Master in Social Communication at the University of Havana and in Marketing and Business Management at the Higher School of Marketing Studies in Madrid.
